Denver Celebrates National Small Business Week with Series of Learning Events
DENVER — Wednesday, April 27, 2016 — In celebration of National Small Business Week, May 1-7, the Denver Office of Economic Development is offering the following free educational events to assist entrepreneurs and small business owners:
Business Resource Fair Monday, May 2, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wellington Webb Municipal Office Building, 201 W. Colfax Ave., Atrium This event will showcase a variety of resources available to Denver’s small business community. Exhibitors include various city, state and federal agencies, local business organizations, and financial institutions designed to support the growth of small business.
Denver’s Tax Credit Programs + You! Tuesday, May 3, 9-10:30 a.m. The Commons on Champa, 1245 Champa St. Highlighting city and state tax credit programs for small business, including Denver’s Business Investment Program and the Denver Enterprise Zone, this session will cover how firms can save money while boosting business.
Certifiably Green! Wednesday, May 4, 9-10:30 a.m. The Commons on Champa, 1245 Champa St. Denver’s Department of Environmental Health will highlight Certifiably Green Denver, a program designed to help businesses find opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability while minimizing environmental liability through pollution prevention.
Introduction to QuickBooks Online Wednesday, May 4, 6-7 p.m. The Commons on Champa, 1245 Champa St. Businesses can learn how to sharpen their finances with online accounting and bookkeeping solutions.
Small Business Financing Thursday, May 5, 1:30-3 p.m. The Commons on Champa, 1245 Champa St. This lender’s panel discussion will feature various business financing options, including public and private institutions.
Meet Your Maker! Friday, May 6, 3-6 p.m. InkMonstr, 2721 W. Holden Pl. To end the week, InkMonstr Graphic Design & Printing has invited local manufacturers of cool gear to showcase Denver’s active lifestyle industry.
