The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) is partnering with the Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) to match top notch college students with great Denver businesses. DSF is selecting some of their most polished and eager scholarship recipients to apply for internship opportunities and OED is looking for companies to hire interns. These students are DSF scholarship recipients in their junior or senior year attending various Colorado universities. They are all maintaining excellent GPAs and are in various programs including business, accounting, finance, human services, medical-related, “STEM” programs, and others.
If your Denver business is interested and can provide an engaging and educational professional experiences for a DSF college junior or senior, we would like to hear from you. The ideal internship will be full time (40 hrs wk) for at least 8 weeks and will pay from $13 to $15 per hour. Student interns should learn about the company as well as the roles individuals play in creating a successful business. Interns should also be assigned specific projects to allow the intern to learn how a fast-paced business functions while meeting deadlines. As for any employment opportunity, there will be an application and screening process the interns will have to go through. Please send a job description and employment application to patrick.giron@denvergov.org and we will begin screening students for you to interview. Call 720-913-1649 with any questions.
