On Thursday, August 6th we welcomed our new Market President, Consuella McCain, serving Kansas and western Missouri Markets.
With over 80 corporations, MBEs, and community partners in attendance we celebrated her arrival in style. Consuella’s reception was hosted by our Kansas City based MBE, Veracity. Attendees had an opportunity to meet and hear from Mountain Plains’ Senior Leadership; our board of directors/advisory board, Secretary Maria Jenks, KCP&L; and MBEIC Vice Chair, Eric Burtin, Burtin & Associates.
McCain, stated in her remarks, “It’s a new day at the Council, we are no longer your grandfather’s Council; we are nimble and agile like entrepreneurs. The Council remains excited about connecting our MBEs with Corporate members and partners who have available and pipeline procurement opportunities.” Consuella’s comments echoed our strategic plan, which emphasizes regionalism, participation, connectivity, advocacy, certification and development.
