CoAnissa Brown serves as the Heartland Market President at AltCap, overseeing support for businesses across Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. With over two decades of experience in sales, customer service, business development, and organizational leadership, she is dedicated to fostering collaboration, community outreach, and entrepreneurship. Her skills include banking, commercial lending, financial education, and community development. Anissa actively assists businesses in obtaining funding to promote growth and stability. In her role, she intends to expand access to capital and help businesses achieve their aspirations. She prioritizes forming meaningful partnerships with clients, especially in underserved communities, earning multiple performance recognitions throughout her career.

Previously, Anissa held positions such as Vice President, Business Banking Officer, and various management roles at financial institutions. Beyond her professional work, she contributes as a leader on several nonprofit boards and is deeply involved in volunteer activities. Anissa earned a Bachelor of Science from Southern University and A & M College, along with a Master of Science in Management from Baker University in Baldwin City, KS. She lives in Wyandotte County with her husband, four daughters, family dog, and is an active member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

Contracts & Proposals That Win

Strengthen how you present your business so you’re not overlooked.

Frances Bond is the Director of the Minority Businesses Development Agency’s Colorado Business Center. She retired in June 2025 following a distinguished federal career, most recently serving as the Deputy Director of Operations for the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). A strategic leader with over 20 years of experience in federal acquisitions, she specialized in engineering agency-wide procurement strategies and driving socioeconomic mandates.

During her tenure at USAID, Frances also served as the Program Manager for the Agency’s Subcontracting Program, where she orchestrated national outreach and external training initiatives. Her leadership was instrumental in USAID securing an SBA Scorecard Grade of “A” and facilitating nearly $1 billion ($995M) in prime contracts for small businesses.

Frances joined USAID in 2015 following a successful tenure as a Level III Contracting Officer Representative (COR) at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Her extensive federal career also included over five years as a Small Business Specialist with the Department of Veterans Affairs, along with critical roles as a Contract Specialist, Contracting Officer, and Procurement Analyst.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies from the University of Maryland. Frances is recognized for her ability to bridge the gap between federal policy and industry execution through high-level stakeholder advocacy and interagency collaboration.

Carolyn Terrell is a senior governance and public-sector strategy advisor with more than two decades of experience across federal, state, and local government, the corporate sector, and the nonprofit community. She brings subject-matter expertise in public administration, economic development, and expanding opportunity for historically underrepresented communities. Carolyn previously served with the U.S. Small Business Administration, where she led teams administering federal business development and certification programs, including the 8(a) Business Development Program, and supported a federal contracting portfolio exceeding $8.5 billion.

In her role with the Rocky Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council (RMMSDC), Carolyn advises MBEs and small businesses looking to grow within corporate and government supply chains. She provides practical guidance on procurement readiness, supplier diversity engagement, mentor-protégé
opportunities, joint venture structures, and competitive positioning. She also reviews RFPs, RFQs, and solicitations to help businesses navigate procurement with clarity and confidence.

Across her career, Carolyn has excelled at simplifying complex requirements and turning them into accessible, strategic steps that equip diverse businesses to compete, innovate, and succeed.

Leading Through Uncertainty

Dr. Andrea Hendricks, an executive with over 25 years of experience, has been instrumental in shaping strategic vision, inspiring focused leadership, and driving key initiatives in Human Resources and Inclusion programs . These programs are designed to foster commitment, intention, and a positive organizational culture.

Currently, she serves as the CEO/Managing Partner of Authentico, a Kansas City-based agency dedicated to delivering success to organizations by tapping into the vibrancy of diverse communities. Authentico’s mission is to broaden and advance Human Resources and Inclusion initiatives, creating exciting and adaptive approaches that positively and inclusively impact diverse audiences.

Since 2022, Authentico has partnered with over 60 clients both locally and nationally, providing strategic guidance that resonates and drives results connected to Human Resources and Inclusion initiatives. They offer coaching, audits/assessments, workplace engagement, outreach, signature events, and learning and development. Dr. Hendricks’ previous executive roles in HR and DEI have been held at Cerner, the Federal Reserve, and UMB.

Dr. Hendricks holds a doctorate in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in human development psychology and counseling psychology and personnel services from Kansas State University.

Dr. Hendricks is a certified inclusion strategist professional, having earned certifications from both the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Yale University. In 2019, she authored “The BIG Journey: Bold Inclusion for Greatness,” a comprehensive blueprint designed to empower business leaders to build capacity around inclusion. She has launched 3 successful networks: Inclusive Leadership Cohort/Capstone Certificate Program, Professional Women’s Executive Network and Multicultural Executive Network.

Her contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades. She has been honored as a National Diversity Top 50 Multicultural Leader, a 10 Most Empowering Women in Business by Insights Magazine, and the Power of Diversity ACE Award by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she has received the Equity Award from the Black Health Care Coalition, the Black Achiever Leadership Award, and the Heart Award from the Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce.

She is deeply committed to community engagement and has served on numerous boards throughout her career. Currently, she serves as Chief Volunteer Officer/Board Chair at the YMCA of Greater Kansas City and on the Park University Board of Trustees. Furthermore, she is a member of Women of Influence, Greater Kansas City (MO) Chapter of Links, Inc, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and the KC Carrousels.
