Check-Mate

National Minority Supplier Development Council has the most comprehensive database of certified Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American suppliers.

Corporate members have long asked for a way to compare their supplier database against NMSDC’s database to determine who among their suppliers are NMSDC-certified.  NMSDC CENTRALTM maintains the most comprehensive database of certified Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American suppliers and as a result NMSDC has launched CHECK—MATE® — a database matching service that allows member corporations to validate their NMSDC certified minority suppliers.

CHECK—MATE®

  • Eliminates time-consuming review
  • Verifies NMSDC certified minority suppliers
  • Generates a match report of NMSDC-certified minority suppliers
  • Identifies expired certified suppliers and council affiliations
  • The data exchange is made through a secure website
  • NMSDC will run the submitted file through its comprehensive NMSDC CENTRALTM supplier database and return a formatted file that contains all matched records

Use CHECK—MATE® to validate your minority suppliers.

How does it work?

NMSDC corporate members provide NMSDC with a text file that contains the MBE’s EIN/Tax ID and the MBE’s name separated by a comma. NMSDC’s IT department uses that file to run against its system. NMSDC will return a formatted file that contains all matched records. The formatted file includes the MBE’s Tax ID, Company Name, Certification Council and Certification Expiration Date.

What is the mechanism for providing the file to NMSDC as well as receiving the result file?

Corporate members will provide the file to NMSDC using a secured Web site. The same Web site will be used to retrieve the results.

 Are multiple submissions allowed?

Yes. There is an initial fee, but a corporate member may be entitled to two additional searches for the year depending on the file size.
