The Council would like to thank all of our MBEs who came out to attend the Access Opportunity event with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) on Thursday, June 25, 2015. NREL’s presentation blew the crowd away prompting NREL’s own employee’s to request a copy to show their family and friends – it was that powerful. With sub-contract administrators representing nearly every department of NREL in attendance MBEs enjoyed the unique opportunity to sit down face-to-face with the key people in their respective fields. MBEs and NREL employees alike commented on the lively mix of vendors in the room and many new friendships were formed.
David Warner and Rexann Dunn provided detailed breakdowns of NREL’s activities, economic impact, innovations as well as the process to register as a vendor. The Council would to thank the NREL staff for their continued commitment to the minority business community. The level of NREL’s commitment was evident throughout the day and is truly commendable. To make sure the audience was paying attention, the Council and NREL staff members asked the audience a series of trivia questions from the presentation (and some of those questions were hard!).
